  • by Rich Garvey   We are at the midway point of the Pittsburg Regional qualifier here at Hot Shots Indoor Sports Arena and three words immediately come to mind, Inspiration, Perspiration and Dedication. You don't have to be a hockey fan to be inspired by the stellar play in the squirt division of Crusaders forward Benjamin Stewart.  On a shortened roster of only five skaters, "Stewy" leads the charge for his team in it's quest for NARCh's Holy Grail.  Playing his heart out from puck drop t

  • By: Lonny Lovins  With Huntington Beach in the books, it is time to look over the tournament and talk about the ups, downs, and the championship dances.  With a pretty big field of teams, it was really exciting to watch the big players come and play on the big stage.  I am pretty excited for the finals, and I think it is going to be a great time for everyone that is involved.  The staff at the Rinks, in Huntington Beach, are fantastic, and I look forward to working with them again.  No

  • By Jeremy Ellis After a lengthy delay at the airport in Chicago yesterday, I finally made my trip back out to the 'City of Brotherly Love'.  It is good to be back here at such a storied house of Roller Hockey that is the Marple Sports Arena.  The banners hang proudly from the rafters of some of the best names in the game.  Looking at the years on some of those trophy banners only makes me fell older, but I digress. While its always good to relive old memories, we are here specifically to make

  • By: Lonny LovinsThe prequel to finals is off and running, with a lot of mercies, and a lot of late kids coming in from various school functions.  After the initial hectic start, things have smoothed out, and we are doing just fine.  With the Rangers and the Lightning providing the background noise, every game in the building feels like it is a game 7.  Obviously there isn't that type of atmosphere yet, but you can't keep the kids from skating their hearts out. Many of the schools in the area h
