San Jose Mid-Day Update
One year ago today was when I started working for NARCh and what a year it has been. I remember I was sitting here in thus very seat typing away my first blog for the NARCh.com website. In the last year I can reflect on my experiences and say that they were memorable. It has been a privilege to contribute to such a great organization.
With that being said, the atmosphere in San Jose is electric, great hockey being played on three rinks, food smells absolutely great, and everything is copacetic. San Jose has always treated me well, and I enjoy working in San Jose. This years event isn’t as big as last years only because NARCh Finals were here in San Jose last year, but bottom line its still a NARCh tournament. We started off this morning with the bantams and squirts. Cubs, mites and midgets started to trail in after right around 10 o’clock. We will finish the day with pee wee, bantam playoffs, and a NARCh cub final.
Every game so far has been close. Ripon Jr Savage in the bantam division tied two of their round robin games and almost tied their last one but lost. Game #35 is happening as I type, pee wee division San Jose Jr Sharks playing against the Silicon Valley Quakes and its tied at 1 with about thirteen minutes to go in the second period. Every other game has been a 1 or 2 goal game. Saying that the competition is heating up is an understatement.
Squirts finished up with Revision Mustangs 2000 and Silicon Valley Quakes meeting in the Squirt Gold final. #3 Revision Mustangs 2001 versus #6 SJ Inline Sharks and # 4 Silicon Valley Quakes 2000 versus #5 Delta River Rats will be the two semi-finals for the Squirt Silver bracket.
Bantam wrapped up its round robin games and heads into the playoffs tomorrow morning. #5 Ripon Savage takes on #8 SJ Inline Sharks in one of two Bantam Silver semis. #6 Silicon Valley Quakes square off with #7 Rampage Omega for the other Bantam Silver semi. #1 NCR Tour Elite 97 will face a familiar team #4 NCR Tour Elite in a fight for a spot in the Bantam Gold Final. The last Bantam Gold final spot will go to winner of #2 Revision Mustangs versus #3 Rampage Alpha. Good luck to all teams!
The first final of the tournament will be the NARCh Cub final. The Thunder Rats will clash with the SJ Inline Sharks for a gold medal and take this years San Jose Regional NARCh Cub Championship.
Stay tuned for more updates of the San Jose NARCh qualifier!
