MISSISSAUGA - Divisions such as Midget Silver, Mite Platinum/Gold, even Pro all wrapped up their divisions late last night, today brought just as many championship games.

Here are some recaps of Championship games that took place today:

Mite Club Championship - Hot Shots Inferno vs. Tour RoadRunners

The first championship game of the day brought us a matchup between the Tour RoadRunners and Hot Shots Inferno out of Pennsylvania for the Mite Club title. In the round robin Inferno defeated the RoadRunners 4-1, but everyone knows that it's a different story come playoff time.

After the RoadRunners would take a 1-0 lead, it would be the performance of Nick Matus who would score a hat-trick in one shift to give his Inferno club the upper-hand. They would never look back after that, beating the RoadRunners 4-2 to claim the Mite Club championship.

Mite Silver Championships - Bend Bullets vs. Cayman Islands

The Bend Bullets have been in their own league throughout the tournament, smoking through the competition. They did face a challenge in the round robin against the Cayman Islands. The Bullets did come home with the 7-3 win, but the score does not tell the full story, as it was closer until the end of that game.

In the Championship game, the Bullets would continue their dominance and defeat Cayman Islands by a score of 6-2.  Bullets Goaltender Andrew Lacrosse would win top goalie, while Cayman Islands star Jackson Cover would win the Top Scorer award.

Peewee Club Championship - Tour Lizard Kings vs. Mission Bauer BorderCats 03

The Squirt Club Championship came down between the Tour Lizard Kings out of Georgia and the Mission Bauer BorderCats 03. In a very tight division, the Club final was very competitive with a ton of skill.

Both teams could not find a way to pull away completely from one another. For example, the Lizard Kings would get a lead, but the BorderCats would come storming back in a heartbeat to tie the game up.

It would continue to happen, when the Lizard Kings would take the lead for his team with roughly 5 minutes to go in the final frame. In the last two minutes, the BorderCats would come back yet again to make it 3-3, putting the game into OT.

In the extra frame, the intensity would significantly change as both teams would rush back and worth trading scoring opportunities, contrasting to the Pro Final that took place the night before. Jaden Neeke would score in overtime, giving the Lizard Kings the gold medal in the Peewee Club division.
