Playoffs started this morning for the Atoms and Cubs. Each division branches off into different levels after round robin. These are only playoff games, so there is still a ton of hockey to play.
In the Atoms division the top 3 teams make the platinum bracket, seeds 4 to 6 make gold and the rest make the silver bracket. There were ten total Atoms teams that qualified and played in this years NARCh Finals. The first final game will be the Atoms Platinum final between SoCal’s Revision Vanquish 03′ vs NorCal’s very own Delta River Rats. Revision takes a strong lead in the first period with a score of 4 to 1. Delta couldn’t pull off the come back losing 9 to 2. The Atoms Gold final resulted in Colorado Stallions winning 5 to 1 to cruise by Anarchy. Atom Silver will wrap up tomorrow.
The NARCh cub division branches off with the top 3 teams making gold bracket and bottom 7 making the silver bracket. Like the Atoms division, the Cubs also had 10 teams that played in this years Finals. NARCh Cubs are playing as I’m writing this piece. So far both the Cubs Gold and Silver have played. In the Gold bracket we have San Diego Rockets squaring off with the Anarchy of Irvine. Silver Cub final will have Mission AKS 05 from Southern California facing the Stallions of Colorado. Both finals sound like good ones. Can’t wait to watch them.
That’s it for right now, I’ll have another blog up by tonight to keep everyone posted about the Atoms and Cubs finals, along with Pee Wee and Mite playoffs.
