It's Hot in St. Louis!

I know it has been a little bit since my last blog. It's is crazy here in St. Louis. With two different rinks and lots of different things going on, I am worn out. It is a good worn out though. The hockey in St. Louis on this Sunday in May is awesome. Teams that do other tournaments are seeing the NARCh way and you know their mind starts to wander. There is only one tournament that can use the phrase; "The World's Greatest Roller Hockey" and have it hold up.

The Atoms started the morning off with the Blast and the Cobras Black facing off. The game was exciting and the kids were skating hard. The Blast won, but the Cobras still came off the rink smiling. You gotta love 8 year olds. Note to parents; until the kids are in the NHL, let them play and have some fun. The Blast then would face the Cobras Gold team. This game was extremely close and that was a shock to everyone at the rink. The Cobras Gold team rolled in the round robin play. The game ended 6-3 and the Cobras won. Congrats!

The Mites would start with the IC Phantoms and the Tour Cobras Gold facing off to see who would play the Blast in the finals. The Phantoms battled hard but could not overcome the well coached Cobras. Mike Tillotson does a nice job with that team. The finals would be the Tour Blast and the Tour Cobras Gold. Tour really does have a hold on this area, as you can tell. The Finals were another shocking game. The higher seeded Blast could not handle all that the Cobras were giving them. The Cobras Gold won this game in grand fashion.

The Squirts would showcase two Tour Blast teams in the finals. The Tour Blast White beat the Tour Cobras Black in the semifinals to advance on. This game was extremely good and it was tough to see either team end up losing. The Tour Blast White would face the Tour Blast 93's in the Finals. The 93's were just way to much for the White team. The 93's won this game with a mercy early in the second period.

The Bantam and Midget finals are all set up. The Tour Blast '90 and the Storm will face off in Bantams. The Tour Blast 89ers will play Gary Beachler's Team Dirt for the Midget crown. You will see many of these teams in Toronto for Finals.

The Pee Wees, Silver, and Gold still have the semifinals left and I will have more on them later.

One side note...I hope all is going well across the land in Cali! The Regional looks amazing and the updates keep everyone up to date. Nice job on the Blogs Gismo, you're my inspiration...along with Jim Anderson. Tell the other side that St. Louis says "Howdy!"

Until later...
