Cinderella isn't a band in this case.
|  5 Championship Games completed, and 3 of them have had the lower seed take home the title! Did the teams drink Poison? Is there a Twisted Sister in the house? Could this be any cheezier? HELP!
I am obviously dating myself here in this writing, but I am ok with that. (Mackie knows all of these bands though.)
There is a buzz in the rink about how the Idaho (Treasure Valley) teams have earned the respect of everyone with their play, and with their sportsmanship. They have one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal to hang in their case already, and have a shot at 2 more later today.
Oooooohhhh, this Bantam Platinum semifinal is getting interesting. Two Langley (B.C.) teams are playing each other, and there seems to be some additional aggression being taken out on each other. These refs are doing a great job with it. I am really impressed with Boman... he has a great handle on things. Brock is doing a bang up job too.
The Valley Vikings also had a good showing this weekend. Some of the nicest kids I met are from that organization. Check out the picture of Sydney, the 4 year old from their Atom team. She has been buzzing around the rink all weekend, and is as cute as a button. I was happy to see their Atom, Mite and Squirt teams get a goal in at least one of their games. They don't have too far to go to get to the next level.
Here comes my STL 2 minute drill... Jen (Bullets/Titans coach) keeps teasing me. Not nice! Todd and his staff have kept this place sparkling all weekend... Refs may be some of the best I have seen at a regional... B.C. teams have made these Oregon teams better by giving them the competition... Nick and I feel better now that we had our "break"... (for 21&over only) they better not run out of Molson, because we are waiting for the end of the day to get our taste...
My head is bobbing now, so I should go get some caffeine.
