St. Louis rolls on...
|
I have been sitting on this blog since the beginning of the day, but it has been so hectic that this is my first chance to sit down and actually do it. Sundays are always a little crazy and this is a little crazier then others. We have two rinks going in St. Louis and that makes for some nutty hours. I am working on 5 hours of sleep in the last two days, but the NARCh buzz has kept me going. Well, that and a ton of caffeine.
The championships have been rolling along here. But, you know that by looking at the scores. Let me tell you about the Squirt Semi-Final game. Team Tour and the Tour Wizards were battling it out in a tough match-up. Team Tour through everything at the Wizards, but Logan Osborne was standing on his head. I honestly have not seen a better goalie performance at his age in such a big game. The game headed to overtime and Team Tour kept the pressure on, but Osborne would not be beat. We would need a shoot-out to decide this winner. After the Wizards hit a few posts and Team Tour capitalized we had a winner. Team Tour might have won, but I will always remember the game that Logan played.
We only have 6 hours left here and that means all of the games mean something. This is the playoffs and when the dust has settled we will have plenty of winners. The crew at All American and Midwest Sport Hockey have made this weekend run as smooth as ever. The information books on San Jose are flying out of here as well. I have talked to a bunch of people about San Jose and they all seem excited. When you head to San Jose this summer you will be facing the talent rich California teams in full force. The Regionals out west have been selling out and the amount of buzz around the world is intense. San Jose will be an awesome finals.
One last note...I gotta say hey to Adam Stio. Adam has been watching along with both Regionals this weekend and sent me a great email. Adam also was my spellchecker for a few of my captions. Thanks Adam and make sure to keep reading along with this weekend's events.
I will leave with a quick hello to the army in Irvine. Man, what is there like 10 Tournament Directors? Hey Daryn, Voice, Lutu, Miles, Alex, Erica, Danielle, Sheri, Gards, and all the others working out there. It looks like a great event.
As always you can reach me via email at ivmackie@yahoo.com. Stay tuned for more from St. Louis and the World's Greatest.
