Rejoice, Flyers fans fill Broomall this morning
New Jersey is out, Broomall is in and the fun begins
|
What a day when you walk into a facility and the Flyer's fans are rejoicing New Jersey being knocked out of the playoffs. The colors this morning are orange, black and white and alot of people are proudly showing their "Broadstreet bullies" wear.
Great to see six 8 and under teams in the tourney. The future NHL all stars are here in force and prepared to do battle today and show us the wave of the next generation.
One of my favorite lines from the Tom Hanks movie, "The Wonders" is when Leo (Lenny), the guitar player is in the bar playing go fish with some business men. He tells his card mates as he flashes his hand, "wanna see my cards, (flash) you have to be pretty quick with me, I am from Erie, PA"... well, so far, eveyone is exceptionally organized.
Having never been to Broomall, I am still in stitches over last year's video where Daryn could not find Gizmo and he was up with the McDade Irish dancers. Well Pat already said no to that idea...
Stay tuned for more from Broomall, the World's greatest Roller Hockey is in PA!!!!
NOTES**************
Broomall is home of the Marple Gladiators hockey program
The rinks are side by side, seperated by a kids maze and slide (similar to a McDonald's playland)
I've counted 26 people in Flyer's apparel...
Great to see Vio and Jason Muro both here in force.
