Sunday AM Update.
| A quick hit.
Sunday AM Update.
We’ve switched gears a little bit as most divisions are into playoffs and championships. The atoms and cubs have begun and they bring a lot of smiles to the rink, as parents of older kids reminisce for a minute of the days when their children were that age and just starting.
Our first champion will be crowned in just a few hours as two NorCal Teams square off for the squirt gold title, Revision Mustangs Black vs Delta River Rats. From that point on it’s pretty much a straight line of championships throughout the day on rink 1.
As I’m walking from rink to rink I caught most of the game between the Mission Momentum and Makime from Mexico, a women’s division matchup. I have to say that it really feels cool to have teams that travel from great distances to participate in NARCh. The foreign teams add such a great flavor to the event. This game was tied until almost the very end, as Makime scored twice to pull off what most would consider an upset.
As I’d rather be off catching the action than sitting in the backroom typing, so I’ll call it a quick session for now.
