NARCh Pro heads into playoffs
|
14 Pro games are in the books, and we are ready to seed the semifinals. Here's how today's 7 games played out.
The afternoon started out with Mission Syndicate playing Prestige. Mission came out to play, and put up a boatload of goals against the boys from San Jose. The 7 goals scored were too much to attempt a comeback, and Mission skated away with the 2 points.
The Tour Mudcats faced off against USA Clinics in teh 2nd game. This game was one of the most entertaining to watch, as action was end to end, and the score was tied most of the game. The Mudcats scored with 14 seconds left to pull out the 5-4 victory.
Pama was looking to be the first team to clinch a playoff berth by winning their 3rd game of the event against the Ducks. They came to play, as they swam circles around the Ducks. If Pama plays the rest of their games the way they played this one, they will be hard to beat. The Chavira brothers put on a clinic as they scored some beautiful goals in this one.
Mission vs. Mission in the 4th game. The AKS Empire was hanging tough with Syndicate for most of the game, but ended up running out of gas, as they fell short at the end.
Prestige brought a full bench to play against the Tour Mudcats. They were pumped up for this game, and hoped to end their weekend on a good note by playing well against the defending NARCh Pro Finals and West Coast Winternationals Champs. They played well, so well that they dominated this game against the Mudcats, almost winning the game by mercy rule! The 9-2 victory was one that will be talked about up here for a long time.
Pama played USA Clinics in a game that was important for Pama in order for them to obtain the #1 seed in the playoffs. They came out with that in mind, and doubled up on Clinics, with a 6-3 win.
The last game before the playoff seeding was the most important of the weekend. Mission AKS Empire had to beat the Ducks to make the playoffs. If they win, both the Ducks and AKS are in, and the Mudcats are out, due to the goals against tiebreaker. AKS came out strong, taking a 2-0 lead on the Ducks. The momentum changed quickly though, as the Ducks rattled off 5 consecutive goals, and walked away with the win.
Here are tomorrow's matchups:
#1 LA Pama Cyclones (3-0-1) vs. #4 Tour Mudcats (2-2-0)
#2 Mission Syndicate SE (2-0-2) vs. #3 Ducks (3-1-0)
Tomorrow should be another great day! Keep up with us at NARCh.com.
