Playoff time!

We are moving right along on the busiest day of the event, with 90 games being played today! The squirt and peewee quarters were this morning, and the semis are happening right now.
Northern California teams have proven themselves worthy today. In the Squirt Silver division, 3 of the 4 quarterfinals were won by teams from the northern half of the golden state. Then, just now in the semis, the lone team from outside the area, Maka'u'ole lost by a goal to the quakes, leaving us with a Nor Cal Final tomorrow. Both semis were great.. one goal games that were VERY competitive.
In Pee Wee Silver, all 4 quarterfinals were won by teams from this area. 2 of the games were close, with Team Hawaii and the Valley Thunder each coming up a goal short. The semis just finished, and we're looking forward to a great final tomorrow with, once again, 2 Nor Cal teams.
Squirt Gold just had their semis and once again, 2 Northern California teams ended up winning their repective matches, and moving on to the final... all of these teams utilized their home court advantage to the fullest.
All of the domination by the local teams didn't get into the heads of 2 groups of kids. In Pee Wee Gold, 2 Southern California teams, Labeda XDH and 949 Anarchy, each had to face a team from up here. XDH faced off against the Nor Cal Riot, who took them to overtime before Labeda put home the game winner, while the Anarchy dominated the Delta River Rats in their game. So Cal is back on the map, at least in this division.
Later today, we have the remainder of the Pro prelims. Check back for updates!
