Getting tuned up for Winternationals
| I did a lot of things to get ready for the NARCH WINTERNATIONALS in Las Vegas, so I guess I will start a the beginning.
I was surfing the web, of course for all the latest info about roller hockey. What can I say I am crazy about the sport, hockey is the best! I was doing my usual routine of viewing NARCH when I saw the WINTERNATIONALS AD! Right away I said, "Oh yeah another Winternationals to attend."
I then came to the realization that my awesome team from previous years was gone and everyone had their own new team and I had mine. Yeah we are good but not Winternationals caliber. So I blew that off for now and decided to scope out my gear and figure out what I needed to buy for the event.
Wheels, bearings, blades for sure, and some tape of course. No problem, I will hit up my hockey loving parents for half of that expense and I am in. (Yeah I do pay for some of my hockey expenses, I am not rich or sponsored.) So I did and I got the stuff I needed to compete. Only one problem after that did I face…money for the tournament, hotel, and airfare.
I checked my old gear and decided to sell some of it to people I knew and the local Play it Again Sports. Almost enough cash now! Oh yeah, I will work with my buddy and make enough cash to go. So I did and I am totally ready to play. But guess what? I DO NOT HAVE A TEAM TO PLAY ON! SO I AM NOT GOING!
Everyone have a good time! You never know until you are not going how much you will miss it!
