Chicago Magic, We Are For Real
After winning the gold medal in the finals in St. Paul, and then Winternats in Vegas last week, the Chicago Magic are ready for Finals in Florida next summer.

The Chicago Magic is made up of ex-college players and a couple current players from Purdue and Michigan State. Most of them residing in the Chicagoland area with a couple living in the Milwaukee area. The ones that live in the Milwaukee area play for MSOE DIII Ice Hockey Team. We have players from the age of 28 all the way to the age of 21. After taking home the gold in St. Paul in Senior Gold, some were skeptical that we could repeat in Vegas. After the first couple games of adjusting to each other again, we had a little scare in the third round robin game against Team Misconduct when the Goalies skate came apart and we were threatened to start or even play with no goalie. We knew that it could not be fixed right away, so an extra player stepped up and donated a skate to the goalie, who then had to adjust to playing with two different skates on, only letting two goals in and leading the team to a 4-2 win. Then it was revenge on the only team that beat us in Finals 2002, with under 5 seconds left Greasy Joes scored to win 3-2, but we were determined to not let that happen again, as we rose to a 3-2 victory and another birth to the finals. From there it was a cake walk with a mercy win in the Finals over fellow Chicago team, the Beach Bums.

After getting nice jerseys and pants for a discounted price, we are currently looking for other sponsers to help us out. Most of the help for Winternats came from parents of the players donating several hundreds of dollars to purchase the team uniforms. I would like to take the time to thank all those people and the people at Hyper for helping us out as well......hopefully we can further our relationship.

The Chicago Magic will return in July to Finals in Florida, and will be ready to play. We will also be entering in as many tournaments around the Chicago/St. Louis/Detroit area.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone that has cheered for us the last year and hopefully we continue to impress the people of NARCh and other related people as we just love to play the game and have fun with eachother!
