NARCH SoCal Full Of Upsets
Blades Youngins Win and Olders Dudes Lose
Southern California Regional Has Many Surprises

I played in Bantams this weekend at NARCH and got to see a lot of teams. It was not that strong of a Regional because many good teams still have ice players busy. There will probably only one Platinum each division with some choices.

The little guys were great. I love my little Hypes but these guys were good too. OC Blades Black were too strong and took the final game 5-3.

Mites Champs: OC Blades Black

Then, in Squirts OC Blades Black beat the CPH Wild 5-2.

In Pee Wee BIG UPSET, unless you know the teams. Blades 88 might have thought they had it all wrapped up but Nike Rockets have good 88s too but some great 87s. They pulled off the OT shocker. Nike Rockets are the winners 4-3. OCB 88 had an early TPC win but hasn't won since. Still a great first year team. Rockets are also still a good team and deserved the win.

PeeWee Champs: Nike Rockets.

Bantams weas the strongest division but Bulldogs were not here so it wasn't too inteesting. Outcasts have some Bulldogs 85 and Hyper 86, and are strong defensively but don't score much. They won 4-3 over Red Army. Rockets and OC 87 made it to the semis. Our Rockets did well against Outcasts but they were too big. Maybe on a bigger rink we might to better. Lost 3-0. Blades did well early in tournament, but saw a real AAA team and lost 4-7.

Bantams Champs: Outcasts.

In Juniors, Dave's Predators beat OC Blades 86 (mostly) 2-1. Still Bladz 86 playing up did great and Sawyer Stephens had a great tournament. So did Morejon who couldn't play in the last game because the refs are into throwing one player out for fighting and letting the other play. Might have affected the final, but Predators are a great team.

Juniors Champs: Predators.

Like I said, Anaheim should be better. More teams and stronger teams. But right now some good games and the winners all deserved it.

It was a good regional anyway.
