By Jim Anderson
Hockeytown claims another title
Detroit Mission Hyper Stars win their 3rd title, taking home the Jr. Championship.

The highlight of the day was the
Junior Final, between the #1 Detroit
Mission Hyper Stars and #2
Mississauga Hyper.

Despite the top two seeds advancing
for the first time in quite a while.
Detroit took an early lead and never
looked back, crusing to an 6-1 win.

Junior All Stars followed shortly after
the game and featured the best of
the East and West. The West has a
2-0 lead in the games played so far,
with Mike Hearn behind the West
bench and Mike Schnurr leading the
East, the players were able to play for
some of the best coaches over the
past 9 years.

In a change from the Division 1 and
Pee Wee games played this year the
Junior's amassed only 7 goals, with
the West holding off a last effort by
Mike Cianfrani and the East to win
4-3.

Mite Division Notes:
LI Royals and OC Blades Black
continue to look strong and each
have one game left before moving
onto the playoffs on Wednesday.

Squirt Division:
Rapid Fire Tour Dragons were upset
by the CPH Wild, St.Louis Tour Blast
89 keeping strong and the Cavewear
Cavemen continue to improve and
look to do better than their 3rd place
at Winternationals.

Atom's

The top 3 teams have advanced to
the playoffs and tomorrow features
the #2 Tour Venom and #3 Rapid
Fire Tour Smoke will play for right to
face the #1 seed in the
Championship at 6:00PM. Can the
Smoke repeat their victory from last
year?

Shortly after the Atom Final, the Atom
All Star game will be featured at
8:00PM, and will also be on
NARCh.com (along with the Final
and many other games), the new
must see TV.

Cub division, the littlest of the little
ones also is happening this week
and we've seen some very enjoyable
games. The CPH Spirit, OC Blades,
Firehawks and Anaheim Mission
Bulldogs, Pines Thunder and Team
Tour Detroit are all providing
entertaining games for the fans to
watch.

Varsity Cup:
Santiago 1 still is the frontrunner, the
rest of the teams have been involved
in a battle for the remaining playoff
spots

Bantams:
Hyper Metro Storm looked good in
their evening game vs the South Bay
Bruins. Mission Honeybaked 85
looked as if they were going to put
away the Tour Mavericks, leading 8-1
at one point and then found
themselves in a battle, finally holding
them off 8-6. Tour Bandits and
Ontario Hyper Titans battled to a 1-1
tie and Red Army rolled to their 2nd
win. The bantams also had their
share of controversy as the game
between Mission Empire Snipers
and Team E was called with 1:24
remaining, with the Snipers leading
5-1. With 12 playoff spots,
tomorrow's final day of preliminary
action should be feature some win or
go home games.

We're getting to the end, after
tomorrow its all playoffs and All Star
Games the rest of the way, keep
checking the site for score updates
and the web for live broadcast info.
